I have been here a few days and i am happy to find a new forum that has more people talking "common sense" than where i was previously where all the thread with bitch fits!

My name is Ritchie Scott and i currently live in Houston, TX. I was born and raised in West Des Moines, IA. My mother was born and raised in Evanston, IL, and was an avid Chicago sports fan. This is where i get my passion for Chicago sports, namely Da Bears, Cubs and Bulls.

My grandfather was best friends with Sid Luckman. He was called Uncle Sid by my mother and through her childhood had many interactions with the Bears players and organization.

My most cherished piece of Bears memorabilia is two Sid Luckman inscribed signature football that he personally addressed to me by Luckman with the 1985 Bears signatures on it! I was two years old at the time.

My best Bears interaction is with Da Coach back in 2007. I was visiting my sister in-law in Hartford, CT when i saw Ditka at a bar near Bristol. I was sitting at the bar watching a bowl game when Ditka came in and sat next to me. Needless to say i was in utter shock. I was nervous as hell and wanted so bad to introduce my self, but was too much of a bitch at first. After several beers, i mustered up the courage to introduce myself and low and be hold he started a conversation. I was surprised at how down to earth he was and shock to find out he knew my Grandfather! It was an awesome experience that i will cherish forever! My avatar is the picture of me with Da Coach that night!

I am really impressed with this forum and the mostly healthy dialogue that occupies it. I look forward to lots of intelligent Bears banter down the line!
