Hi Chicago Fans!

I'm new here (obviously) as one of what I imagine is a multitude of new members coming from the "official" Bears message board in order to watch the game here... how awesome that you've got it!

I've looked around some and it seems like a nice board here, I'm sure I'll be on here a ton. With other boards, I have usually found that all the time I've got gets devoted to reading news and posts, so I've never been a high-volume (or even medium volume) poster, but I'll try to speak up a bit more here, I guess.

Anyway, a little about myself: I'm a 33 year old life time Bear fan from Dayton, OH. I first started watching NFL instead of playing with toys in 1984, and more so in 1985. After I first saw Payton run and Iron Mike's eyes, the Bears were the team for me. Being from OH, I must admit that the Bears are the only Chicago team that is my favorite in that respective sport, so I'll generally just confine myself to that forum (I'm a SA Spurs and Cincy Reds fan, don't really follow NHL). I do, however, love coming to visit your fine city - especially when my visit includes a trip to Soldier!

As a fan, I'd certainly consider myself an optimist, although I'd like to think I manage to keep myself realistic. As for this year's Bears, I have high hopes. I think the D should be much improved on all three levels due to the additions and returning #54. Of course, they'll have to stay healthy and have some young players step up. I'm really hoping #91's return to prominence happens, because the D was so fun to watch when he was great. Offensively, I don't deny the big looming question mark up front - but I HOPE they can get the job done and allow what I think is a talented group to show everyone how good they really can be. Of course, I think the extra head coaches (Tice and Martz) are the main reason to hope that all that could happen.
