Former Bears Safety Danieal Manning Signs with Houston Texans

Former Bears safety Danieal Manning has signed with the Houston Texans.

The news of the Bears moving Chris Harris to strong safety was a big indicator to fans that Manning’s days in Chicago were behind him.

With Danieal Manning rejecting the Bears proposed extension, the team didn’t intend to break the bank to keep Manning in Chicago. With Chris Harris and Major Wright at safety, along with 3rd round pick Chris Conte out of Cal, there was no need to keep Manning.

I personally wonder if they let him go because of the new kick off return rules. What are your thoughts? Leave us a comment below!

As a big fan of Manning, I am sad to see him go and wish him the best of luck. I have a feeling he’ll make a minor impact on a Houston defense that could use every bit of help.

We send you off into the sunset with memories of surprising kick returns and your blast on Davone Bess this past season.
