The Bears Make Another Set Of Roster Moves

The Bears continue to make changes to personnel.

LAKE FOREST- Yesterday the Bears signed free agent quarterback Jordan Palmer to replace the injured Matt Blanchard {at least temporarily}. Today the Bears made three more roster moves while the team is still resting from Thursday’s ┬ápreseason victory over San Diego.

First they released defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson. Anderson was signed on the first day of training camp after the sudden retirement of Sedrick Ellis. Next they gave a pink slip to linebacker Andrew Starks.

Starks, an undrafted rookie out of Princeton was brought in to add depth to the linebacking group after D.J. Williams went down with his calf injury on July 31st. Despite these subtractions, the Bears did make an addition to the roster.

Defensive tackle Eric Foster will be on hand when the Bears resume practice on Monday. The Rutgers alum played with the Indianapolis Colts from 2008 to 2011. He has 117 career tackles, six sacks, four pass break ups, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

Chances are that these new Bears won’t see much playing time until the Bears finish their preseason schedule on August 29th. Follow me on Twitter @GabeSalgado82
