Chicago Cubs unveil new Spring Training logo
Pitchers and catchers will report to Spring Training in just under two weeks meaning baseball is right around the corner.
The Chicago Cubs will open the 2017 season as defending World Champs, ending a 108-year drought.
The Cubs will have plenty of celebrations planned throughout the year at Wrigley Field with giveaways for fans that arrive early. It’s likely they will wear a gold jersey at some point to celebrate their title just like teams have done in previous years.
On Friday, MLB and New Era revealed the newest Spring Training logos, jerseys and hats for teams throughout the league. That included the Chicago Cubs who are bringing back the “Angry Cub” logo they sported on jersey sleeves from 1979-1993.
Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber modeled the new cap:

The new look comes a year after the Chicago White Sox brought back their classic logo for Spring Training, which they will also be wearing again this year via our friends at SportsLogos.net:
Each jersey will have designs in the numbers featuring “AZ”, “FL”, “Spring Training”, “2017” and more.
