The NBA season officially tips off tonight with a few games on the schedule but it doesn’t include the Chicago Bulls.
Instead, the team will open their season Thursday night in Toronto. It’s expected to be a rebuilding year for the Bulls as they traded star Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves and bought out the contract of Dwyane Wade.
But before this season has even started, there’s been some drama.
According to multiple reports, Chicago Bulls players Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic got into a scuffle at Tuesday’s practice. Portis apparently punched Mirotic on the face breaking bones and sending him to the hospital.
Sources: Bulls forwards Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic were involved in serious altercation in practice today, leaving Mirotic hospitalized and out indefinitely. Story coming.

According to Wojnarowski, the two players were getting verbal with eachother and then physical. Portis then punched Mirotic who stayed on the ground for several minutes.
The Bulls just released a statement announcing that Mirotic will be out indefinitely.
This is going to be one hell of a season.
