High School Basketball: Evanston Wildkits hit shot of the year to beat Maine South

You can stop searching for the shot of the year in Illinois High School Basketball because it happened on Friday night.

With the Evanston Wildkits trailing 44-42 to Maine South, the Hawks were at the free throw line to try and ice the game. After a missed free throw, Evanston freshman Blake Peters grabbed the rebound took a dribble and threw a one-handed shot nearly the length of the court.


Peters shot goes in giving Evantson a 45-44 stunning win over Maine South as the gym goes nuts. Check out the shot below:

That’s probably the best shot you will see all season long and certainly belongs on SportsCenter Top 10.
