You can stop searching for the shot of the year in Illinois High School Basketball because it happened on Friday night.
With the Evanston Wildkits trailing 44-42 to Maine South, the Hawks were at the free throw line to try and ice the game. After a missed free throw, Evanston freshman Blake Peters grabbed the rebound took a dribble and threw a one-handed shot nearly the length of the court.
Swish.
Peters shot goes in giving Evantson a 45-44 stunning win over Maine South as the gym goes nuts. Check out the shot below:
