Why the Bears are ahead of the sportsbook game

Despite the early exit in the NFL Playoffs for the Chicago Bears they are near the top when it comes to their off-field activities. They have already signed a great deal with PointsBet, and the partnership can only be good news for both partners.

The idea of an NFL franchise signing a partnership deal with an online gambling company wasn’t possible in the past. The NFL had actually fought against the legalization of sports betting for a number of decades. Their fear was that such betting would damage the integrity of their sport.

Two years ago, a US Supreme Court ruling ruled that individual states could decide on legalization of gambling. That’s changed everything with an increasing number of states now legalizing gambling. They now enjoy the benefits of all the additional tax from gambling revenue.

Another state that has legalized gambling is Pennsylvania. There are great betting opportunities available at the Rivers online casino. It’s best to read up about any site that you wish to join before registering to find out about areas such as financial security, welcome bonuses and what games they have to offer.

Now the NFL are beginning to see the advantages that are on offer from signing partnership deals. It’s not been the easiest of years for NFL teams. They were able to get the previous season finished on schedule and the Super Bowl was a big success. However, the ongoing health crisis has hit the sport hard. No crowds at games this past season meant a massive drop in revenue.

That’s a gap that needs to be filled and the Chicago Bears have done just that. The deal is similar to those signed by top soccer teams in Europe. Signing partnerships with online gambling companies have pumped millions into clubs. Now the Bears have a lucrative deal that sees PointsBet having full use of the intellectual property, marks and logo.

Ted Phillips is the President and Chief Executive of the Chicago Bear. He’s delighted with the deal in this new era of NFL partnership deals. “This deal will bring fans a new way to interact and cheer on the club,” he said.

The online gambling company will receive a great deal of exposure thanks to the deal. More people will become aware of their product and hopefully register as members. They launched a mobile sports betting app in Illinois once able to do so. It’s been a big success and now comes this important deal with the Bears.

It’s good news for fans of the Chicago Bears too. This will include them being able to get the best odds on pre-game spread line and money line markets for all Chicago Bears matches. There’s also a special sign-up code that can be used to access more special promotions on the PointsBet app.

More deals are inevitable in the future. The relationship between the Bears and PointsBet will show the advantages that such deals hold. Now if only the Bears can make the play-offs.

Make sure to check out our Bears forum for the latest on the team.
