If Mitch and the offense don’t bounce back in a BIG way on Monday is it the official beginning of the end not only for this season but for Mitch? I definitely think so. Preseason is officially over AND the Redskins aren’t exactly the 2001 Baltimore Ravens on defense. It’s time for the “O” to PRODUCE

Believe it or not, hate it or not, Mitch is getting 14 more regular season games to start plus postseason, as the starter.

No matter what the result. He isn't getting benched.

Redskins historically play the Bears tough. It's Monday Night, in their house, and Mitch and the offense is searching for itself.

Mitch will have another tough day, Nagy will to throttle down the game plan again, and Bears will have a tough time putting points on the board again.

I'll go down this theoretical rabbit hole for a minute.

If Mitch is bad, no, it won't be the beginning of the end. The begining of the end will be one of three points-
1) The injury and the comeback vs. the Rams
2) The loss in the Eagles game
3) The begining of this year when Mitch didn't improve in y2 of this offense.

Looking bad against Redskins would only be a continuation of what we've seen so far, regardless of how their defense looks to this point.

It COULD however be the begining of a positive trend. How positive is TBD.

Redskins have also played very well against two very good opponents (Eagles,Cowboys) and just didnt have enough gas in the 2nd half to win both games. This is no team that is lying down(like Miami)
My point is that if the Bears and fans think this is the game Mitch should get right, I think they will be upset.
At this point, I am not too focused on Mitch. Fuck him. If the Bears win, I'd be happy. It's pretty clear this will be a week in and week out scenario. WTF will Mitch do? I say who cares?
Just win Baby!

The Redskins are 1-16 on MNF in their "new" stadium. They are a dumpster fire. I think we got this one in the bag.

I believe this will be the first time Nagy will loosen up the reins on the offense. Nagy did everything he could to get a win against the Broncos on the backs of the defense. Until he had to let Mitch go on the last drive which was the only time in the game Mitch actually looked at his progressions & moved around well in the pocket. Just let the offense loose on the next couple games, if Mitch crashes and burns then you can move forward with plans to replace him. You won't know what he's capable of if you keep running Lovie's gameplan.

Washington has been good on offense but no defense. Our def should be able to shut them down and our offense should be able to handle their defense. Bears win convincingly and the turnaround begins.

Exactly. Fans thought the same about the Broncos and how the Raiders played them. I expect another subpar game from Trubisky. Too much pressure for him to play well.
