Brad Biggs is speculating that they are targeting former Bengals OC Bill Lazor.

Which would be awfully MEH.

Sounds like Bears are having a lot of trouble finding interest in the market for their OC spot.
Let's see, the OC is a glorified position coach and we don't have a talented QB on the roster. One could also speculate that if Nagy has another piss poor year, he could be canned. Doesn't sound very appealing lol.

clearly they are hiring a guy that can coach up qb's...its not about the playcalling because nagy was always going to be that guy...he wants someone who can develop qb's and lazor has done that in his career, he did it with tannenhill, foles and dalton...what i dont get it why keep ragone then...

Who would want to be responsible for a QB that flat out sucks?
This is like 2010 when Lovie had a hard time finding an OC.
Bears probably going to have to settle for a position coach looking for the promotion up to coordinator level.

We actually won a game with that putz in 2010 when he started. Of course, Carolina was awful and Forte and the D tore shit up.
T. Collz went 3-0 and a 100+ QBR With B. Laz in 2007

One of the only two Bears games I've been to. Forte was like Forest Gump that day.

Think it was Todd vs Caleb... such a miserable QB game.

Dumpster diving in Cincy for an OC seems like a shitty move.

Unfortunately its the sinking ship mentality. We saw it under Lovie. No highly respected OC is going to go for what may be a 1 year stint under Nagy.

Nagy's best move here is to hire an up and coming assistant, QB coach, OL coach, etc., somebody who hasn't been an OC before but has talent. Those types of guys are the ones more willing to take a chance.
