Just bought the Masterbuilt 340G First propane smoker that has a thermostat and maintains temp for you. Works like a charm. Set the temp and it never various more than 5 degrees.

I went electric myself 5 years ago. I like fighting the charcoal if I am out in the yard working all day but when I need a steady temp and don't feel like fighting that, I can.
wood chips go in the side and it gets the job done.

Literally takes all of the art out of it with none of the flavor. I'll have whole foods deliver the sides for authentic DIY experience without any Y.
