I don't think Pace finds the oline situation a problem anymore. I don't think the oline is as bad as ppl make it out to be. I think the coaches were the bigger problem with the oline. They don't just all get worse by accident after hiring a new OL coach. Pace will probably sill draft a lineman if the value is there, but I doubt he thinks it's a pressing need like some of you guys.

Some of us? Lets be real it was all of us to varying degrees. There is some truth in what you say but this is sort of like a house being on fire, everyone agreeing it is on fire but then the homeowner says dont worry it isnt as bad as it looks amd so everyone pretends there was never a fire.

Feels like a rationalization after the fact to make us feel better about it being ignored thus far. Again though you may be right in the end.

With the later round wr’s, you have to pick the trait you are most interested in because they all have some big flaws.

John Hightower if you are looking for someone to stretch the field vertically. But he’s weak and not a reliable catcher.

Tyler Johnson if you want a guy that catches anything in his vicinity. But he’s slow and can’t separate well.

KJ Hill if you want a dependable slot guy.

Yeah at this stage I only really like Johnson, Reed, People and Cleveland.

You're probably correct. Just being a meatball. But if it means getting an OT like Prince Tega or similar, I'm all for it. But its a pipe dream, if it wasn't going to happen it would have happened around the time before his tender was signed.
I'm all for getting an OT. I seriously wouldn't mind drafting three or four and seeing if one can be a player. For all the criticism of the bears here form fans, I really don't see a lot of positions needing serious help. Depth always helps anywhere, but right now, OL is the only real big hole.

Bryce Hall is pretty much zone only. Those guys have lost value recently. There was that zone only CB from Iowa, I think Josh Jackson, who pretty much vanished as a 2nd rounder a few years ago.

We had the 3rd worst run blocking last year and couldn't protect the QB.

And someone thinks it will all be fixed by firing the OLine coach, who most in football hold in high regard as one of the best?

I do think there may have been a scheme mismatch and the change could be a plus. But the idea that 5 guys will magically play well after being flat out terrible is not one I buy into.

Whitehair and Daniels as starters is fine (though that is where I would hope for improvement, as they are young). But we need not one but two OTs.

There's a good deal of IOL talent left; I said a few days ago the high end IOL talent was awful but there would be good deals in the mid rounds.

Don't know if he's been mentioned, but the guy I want for a day 3 QB pick is James Madison.

I thought JR Reed in the 5th was the consensus. I swear, I’ve seen it mocked on here about 10 times.

Those were all windy mocks and i'm down with that.

I think you're confusing him with Desmond King

Yeah, I think he lacks the athletic tools for our system and the injuries are bad.

7th Round.

Yep, serious back injury and a total waist bender.

KJ Hill is going to produce somewhere at the next level. I don't care if he is slot only quite honestly because he is going to be a good player.

Also people all of a sudden think that Pace isn't interested in qb when almost all the QBs you were mocking to us are still available. I'd honestly be surprised if he doesn't pick a qb at some point
