Rams got him for 10 million. Quinn has a 30 million over two years guaranteed. We easily could have kept him. Horrible move

And he wouldnt be as good as his PRWR sucks and QBs get rid of ball quicker with us than with Rams.

Contract year. This happens all the time. Watch him regress the minute he’s paid.

The Rams secondary probably plays tighter coverage in the secondary and Rams coaches taught him how to actually tackle.

How many times we going to do this?

Aaron Donald and coverage sacks. That is the easiest and most accurate answer.

Floyd has 7 sacks against Wilson who has the 3rd slowest time to throw in NFL. He has 5 in the other 14 games. He got a lot of coverage sacks from Russ.

we all saw this exact same graph last year and Robert Quinn was tops in pressures as well as double team rate. His rating was better than mack.
Quinn comes to the bears and maybe has his worst season ever.

Hated the Quinn signing. Red flags all over the place.

He was tops in pass rush win rate not double teams as a few guys were double teamed more like Lawrence and Zadarius.

"Fangio turned him from pass rusher to doing all kinds of shit. "
For the Rams he plays only one position, never see him drop in to coverage anymore.
In all honesty, Staley uses him the same way that Fangio did

Pace made a great pick but the Bears have terrible defensive coaches
It wasn't a great pick. He gave the Bears little. So little that Pace traded the farm for Mack.

You can blame the coaches but Pace should look at his team and know if its coaches or players. He let his "great pick" go.

Players contributing for other teams aren't good picks for the Bears.

Why the fuck is he killing it on the Rams but was never able to play anywhere near this level when he was with the Bears?

Logical explanations only please.

inside pressure. The QBs can’t step up.

this is how the pass rush works with 4 players.

DTs move the Pocket back. One draws a double and is expected to move up into the pocket or hold his ground. The other DT is then one on one to create discomfort by taking an angle into the pocket and get the QB off his spot.

the Edge rushers cannot come around the edge and get the QB if there is no inside pressure and the pocket isn’t moved or squeezed by the NT and DT.

The Bears have no NT pressure. Hicks gets doubled. The front of the pocket is therefore clean to step up and throw from. Edge rushers win the edge but the QB avoids the pressure by stepping up and throwing.

maybe not but who would you rather have?

Take your pick from anyone above him on this chart. The reality is while Quinn's stats have sucked, he is still a better pure pass rusher than Floyd. He gets double teamed more than Floyd and he wins his matchups at a higher rate than Floyd. He just hasn't been able to close this year but that is how it goes with pass rushers sometimes. I would put money on Quinn having more sacks than Floyd next year especially given the likely odds and if Pagano is replaced.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. New York Knicks
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. New York Rangers
  1. Syracuse Orange
Some players take a few years to really come into their own. Personally, I always thought Floyd had a lot of potential. Glad to see him playing well

I tried telling these clowns over and over again that Floyd wasn't as bad as they were making him out to be but a lot of these people don't really use common sense and instead since they hate Ryan Pace so much they look for any reason to shit all over him even if it makes them sound like morons. Pace has made some bad decisions, some critical like the Trubisky pick, but drafting has been a strong suit for him.
