Ayo ended up with 7 turnovers, but all in all the offense seemed to work so well with him bringing it up. Lots of great passes. 12 assists. He sees the floor really well. I would like to see more of that.

Illini seem consciously trying to get others involved tonght, and that's not bad. But let's not mess around. This 12 point half time lead should be twice that. Went to sleep for a long stretch, and they turn the ball over waaaaayyyy too much.

Should not be anything to worry about, but let's not let NW get any ideas.

Ayo decides to make an impact with consecutive turnovers. Brilliant!

Miller with 10 shots and his usual poor decision making. Ayo with 5 shots and awful turnovers. Underwood with his usual complete lack of timeout usage. This team could easily lose to a 15 seed. Especially with the FT issues

Over a 30 minute stretch starting halftime of Game 1, the Illini outscored NW 78-20!

Then NW outscored the Illini by 11 over the next 30. Yikes.

I would say that this was a blip but this is after OT against an awful Nebraska team. Hate to say it but this could be another tourney exit to a lower seeded team once again.

The tourney is a month away. Most teams go through stretches where they don't play as well as they're capable. Glad it's in February. Let's remember, they won big vs Wisconsin before sleepwalking against two bottom feeders.

That's true. But the awful FT shooting is concerning going into March. Tourney games do come down to hitting those late FT's
