Full Disclosure: I’m a big fan of this move.

That said, isn’t this what the G-League is for?

Why such a fan? Honest question, I don't remember anything about him. I actually don't remember him being a forward even haha.

Young, athletic wing who is long in the lanes. Ton of upside with it being a 10-day contract, and hopefully bouncing around after being a top 10 pick has humbled him. Also, at this point, In Billy I Trust.

In the same vein, we're signing Alfonso McKinnie to a 10 day contract. Decent shooter and defender, kinda like Stanley Johnson. Decent pickups to try to tide the COVID outbreak period. Hopefully we don't lose any more players to the Health and Safety Protocols

Curious what happens if a 10-day contract guy goes into protocols. Do they get paid then till they are out? Do they auto sign another 10 day. or do they just tank them for their service at the end of the 10 days, hah

Just signed one with Lakers. Interesting dynamic of all these players floating around team to team. How much access and insight do you give them vs alienating them. Luckily I don't think he ever actually played for them.

They can't be too upset as these guys are making a quick $100,000+.

Stanley made $138,945 for basically showing up and testing positive for covid.

Not a bad life. Be near the bottom tier of your peers, show up, do nothing, and make more money than most people do in a year
