Yup. And he beat sorry ass teams this past regular season. He beat Jets, panthers, giants, Houston, etc. Did he win any games against legitimate playoff teams, bucs, bills (twice), raiders, titans, etc.? No he didn’t. Easy to have a winning record when you play sorry ass teams.
Well to be fair he did beat the Pats.

Feuding with his players.
Feuding with his coaches.
Feuding with his GM.
Changing offensive coordinators more than once a year.
Trying to fight opposing players.

I gotta be real, guys. Brian Flores sounds like a gigantic, dysfunctional asshole.

Does anyone think a dysfunctional GM-coach relationship would be a good thing for the Bears?
Ask Ditka.

I don't need to check out the article. He wasn't qualified for the job in the first place. Pretty much anyone that was going to get hired there was one-and-done with the mess there. There was no highly qualified candidate that was going to get take that job this year.

Most of the HC's hired in 2021 were garbage.... if we wanna go there.
However, It's always good to review all sides. The article deals with some this. The other piece is the FO thought Culley could convince Watson to stay and when that didn't happen, oh well.

Texans coach David Culley can't convince Deshaun Watson to stay

He beat the Pats twice.

Anyway.... "Easy to have a winning record when you play sorry ass teams."......u say
Well that can be said for many teams...right? If he'd lost to those teams, then what? With your logic "damn if ya do, damn if ya don't", right? Anyway....I'm just looking at both sides of the coin. And NO.....he is not my choice for the Bears

You're right he did beat the the Pats and a rookie QB twice. But sadly he also gave up 35 to Buffalo, 31 to Indy, 27 to Colts, 45 to TB, 23 to Jax, 30 to ATL, and 24 to the Jets. Ouch.

LOL...why are bringing up "rookie QB twice".....the OP questioned them beating playoff teams. He beat Belichick twice . Can we insert that? ? :)
Ok...so can u also mention he ended up with a 9-8 record ? Or should we not look at both sides of the coin?

How about they at least be competitive even if they lost? 35-0 against the bills. 34-3 against the titans. How about that coin?

Again, the Dolphins are a shit team. That's the whole point. They have a terrible roster and Flores somehow coaxed back to back winning seasons out them. Coaches aren't magic. They can't coach a terrible team to the Super Bowl.

Flores has question marks. Every candidate has question marks. Again, if the standard is getting the most out of your team, Flores is the best candidate.

No. “You” think Flores is the best candidate.

I don't think he's the best candidate. But people asking why he's a candidate despite the flaws, that's the answer. He got back to back winning seasons with a garbage roster. Like I said, if your standard for a coach is maximizing your roster, he's easily the best candidate.

And, yeah, in my opinion. These are all opinions.

That’s not my standard. But he ain’t the best candidate out there for sure. Lame ass coach imo.

Flores is as big a douche as McDaniels is by the looks of it. Big FUCKING NO to both of them.

I have a lot of concerns with Flores about the shear amount of turnover he had on his coaching staff, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The last thing the Bears need is a head coach that changes the OC on Fields every damn year. There is no way that you will really get the most out of Fields in that sort of situation. We have seen that shit before with Cutler and how often Lovie ended up having to change his OC.

I am not worried at all if Flores dropped the F bomb about his QB or team playing poorly. This isn't pee wee football. These are adults and I am pretty sure there is plenty of cussing going on out on the field and it's been that way for a very very long time.

Sure I see the losses
Well if the record says 9-8.....does it really matter how the 8 losses came?

Yeah, he beat Belichick by 1 pt in Mac Jones first career game and then again in a meaningless game (for the Pats) in week 18 as the Bills were facing the Jets @ home with the tiebreak. Another one of his Pats wins was when the Pats were resting guys for the playoffs in week 17.

Flores has had a couple nice streaks of games against a bunch of poor teams, 9/10 wins last year were against .500 or below teams. This year, his 7 game win streak came against bottom-feeders and non-playoff teams (Jets x2, Giants, Texans, Panthers, Ravens, Saints). It would be much more impressive if he didn't have two 7 game streaks going the other way.

He was also outscored by 137 points in his first 4 games coaching, you or anyone on this forum could go out there blindfolded and coach the Dolphins 4 4 and it wouldn't get that bad.

People have trashed Tua but he's still very young and has only played in like 20 something games. 13-8 as a starter. I still think he could turn out to be a great QB, if it's true about the rifts between Flores and Tua then I def don't want Flores cause I'm sure there will be plenty of growing pains for Fields like Tua in the coming seasons and the last thing we need is another fractured locker-room.
