Looks like more mediocrity.......

Early career

Following his playing career, Patullo spent time at his alma mater South Florida and Arizona as a graduate assistant. He also had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills as an offensive assistant and quality control coach before joining the Tennessee Titans in 2014 as an assistant wide receivers coach.

New York Jets

Patullo was hired to be the quarterbacks coach for the New York Jets for the 2015 season. Considered an unusual hire due to his lack of coaching experience at the time, he was hired as he had previous experience with both Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey and starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick from his time in Buffalo He was fired alongside five other assistant coaches on January 3, 2017.

Texas A&M

After his termination from the Jets, Patullo joined the staff at Texas A&M as a senior offensive analyst.

Indianapolis Colts

Patullo was hired as the wide receivers coach for the Indianapolis Colts in 2018. He was to reassigned to pass game specialist before the 2020 season following the hire of Mike Groh.

Philadelphia Eagles

On January 24, 2021, Patullo was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as their passing game coordinator under head coach Nick Sirianni.[

Not sure if this is noteworthy, I mean they didn't have a HC at the time.

I am sickened.

If Eberflus didn’t have a grand slam of OC hire in his back pocket how the fuck did you hire him. Like what did you talk about in the interviews.

There is currently no answer for supporting the most valuable asset of the franchise in Justin Fields.

PS - I reserve the right to redact IF and big IF, he has someone lined up that’s still in the playoffs like McDaniel or O’Connell, etc. I’m losing hope quickly though lol.

Eberflus was passing game coordinator in ‘16 and ‘17 for the Cowboys. Maybe he makes himself the OC ?

Worth noting Eberflus was also a finalist for the Jacksonville job, so he hopefully has an impressive plan for grooming a talented young quarterback.

No plan for offense and the return of the outdated cover 2 defense that allows mediocre qb’s to have career games. I’ll never understand this hire this is as bad as Trestman and Jauron.

Yeah probably the only team in the league worse than ours for judging character. Nobody else even interviewed this loser.

Every NFL defense runs some amount of cover 2 at some point. It's lazy to say cover 2 is outdated. Indy could not get pressure with their front 4. No scheme works when you can't get pressure. People gave Lovie crap about his cover 2, but those people clearly did not watch him. Lovie ran quiet a bit of Cover 3 towards the end of his tenure.

While the Texans weren't good and I assumed Lovie's "d" would be outdated, I sure did see them getting a lot of turnovers on Red Zone channel.

Hire somebody from the Shanahan/McVay/Lafleur/Kubiak tree. I want to see Justin Fields in a motion heavy, playaction-centric offense that will use him appropriately.

Patulo would be another disaster given how terrible the Eagles were passing the ball last year.

Cover 2 is what had Mahomes and Allen struggling early this year.

People keep repeating that "cover 2" crap. Watch a Texans game and actually look at how often you see a 2 high safety look. You'll be surprised. Lovie isn't a strict cover 2 guy. He hasn't been since Danieal Manning.

That's misleading. That's ANTI the opponents passing game .From the perspective of stopping the other team's passing game.

People don't seem to understand that if an offense is going to attack vertically with multiple receivers, that a 2 high safety look is best. Don Fangio shows a 2 high look more than anyone but no one complains about that.

"Vic Fangio lives in a world of his own on early downs. He shows the most two-high looks pre-snap, whether he does spin down to single-high or not. This keeps quarterbacks honest because there are a lot more coverage variations they can play post-snap.

Pre-snap single-high defenses can mostly only play Cover 1 and Cover 3 — only 15% of all defensive snaps where the defense lined up showing single high over the last two years wound up back in a two-high coverage. But even though his most used call is still Cover 3, he has a very high rate of two-high coverages, with 30% of his total snaps last year ending up in a two-high formation."
