Helping a 5th round pick even become a rotational player is a plus. He’s only 25 years old, so I don’t really get the sarcasm. His career is far from written in stone.

IMO, the upside of Hicks helping develop another draft pick and potentially moving him for a draft pick is totally worth a two year contract. At least worth consideration.
