I literally have nothing to do with that poster and will never understand what is happening in the posts I've scrolled back to read in this exchange but I assure you that I am nothing like the @Mighty Joe Young account at all and frankedly find it to be insulting that anyone would ever make an association about me toward that IGNORAMUS.
My apologies Vick!

This post reads as if you literally believe you're giving a Ted Talk about bears free agency when you have literally been proven to show you yourselve don't ha e any grasp of the concepts with which you are talking down upon others about what is especurally "rich" is the comment about not knowing of a player until literally a fort-nite ago when you yourselve have done a analysis on Byron Pringle whosmt you obviously were not familiar with or even his rank within the rank and file of the WR corps on the Chiefs but suddenly you position yourselve as a expert on KC when you didn't even watch them play until maybe the playoffs I mean are you kidding me?

For your information you are not kidding me or fooling anyone with any sort of football knowledge and should just stick to posting opinions of others from tweets instead of positioning them as your own because when people show you how those opinions are wrong you always say it's something you've been reading on Twitter or a blog anyways which ultimately shows that you don't credit your sources and that your sources aren't very credible themselfs in the first place which just makes you ultimately incredibly uncredible!
WOW! Those are the two longest sentences I have ever read! Wait! Tried to read.

Oh, there are/were several options to make the Bears a better team at protecting their young quarterback, including guys like Brown and Fisher (who they still might get). Heck, I would've been cool at holding onto Daniels. I would've liked Armstead, but I understand the injury concerns and never really figured the Bears would be a destination wish for him anyway.

I like the Bates signing. That's definitely one I'm cool with. They have the cap space. It's not a long-term investment. And it signals some willingness to protect your biggest asset, depending on how he ends up performing. Will it definitely work out? Not necessarily, but it's high upside, low risk.

But then again, I've been consistent that I'd be fine with the Bears paying market value or over for protection and/or receiving options for their young quarterback. I've been called an idiot many times over for that. But now suddenly everyone agrees with me that overpaying for protection for your young quarterback is O.K.
I think most people would over pay for protection and weapons. But again, who was available that also had mutual interest with the Bears?

Bears we’re interested in Armstead, but did he feel the same way? Was Brown interested or did the Bears have interest in him? Fisher is still an option but will they actually need to overpay for him?

Which Wrs would you have actually over paid for that were actually available. A big no for me for guys like Chark and JuJu. Kirk not worth it.

If someone like DK becomes available next offseason then hell yes you overpay.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
Oh, I didn't realize you've had alts. How many have you had?

I don't any further, and I only ever used one at a time (vs the Grimsons and Novaks of the world who use(d) multiple at once and I believe still do).

But as you can imagine, I can wear out my welcome quickly, so to get a fresh start, I'd basically start over.

Here's the list:

(Original CBMB)
Mighty Joe Young
Vash the Stampede
Teddy KGB (this one originally started as a joke when we wanted Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and others paid. In Rounders, Teddy KGB famously says "Pay that man his money" with a thick and very bad russian accent. I made a sig of that with Forte on it... and Forte got paid. I changed it to Marshall, and then Marshall got paid and extended - this seriously happened for 4 players in a row - everyone who got into my sig got an extension and a contract. it was the damndest thing. Because of that, I kept it and had the mods disable Vash, which is what I always did when I switched to a new alt).

CSS
Came in as Teddy KGB
Bruno the Red
And back to where it all began because I am done with alts as Mighty Joe Young, like it or not.

Those were mine. Any others people associate with me are likely one of the other two alt-users I've mentioned, or someone else entirely.

The Bears have been so badly ran the last 10 to 15 years that now fans don't know how to react.
I imagine this board is similar to what would happen if China switched to a democracy. You just have millions of folks confused and dismayed that they are free and don't know what to do with it. You'd have a bunch of folks bitching that after a month they don't have jobs, mansions, and porn hub. Hold up Lil doggies, we can't fix this team in one off-season.

Right. To me, its the same thing with those that already bitch about Fields being a bust...

- Many Bears fans have no idea what it takes or know what it looks like to develop a QB because we never have
- Many Bears fans have no clue how to properly build a roster for the long term because we never have

We've been wanting to finally build a team the right way (thru the draft, with a foundation of line strength on both sides of the ball), but a lot of folks are falling for the same short-term gratification okie doke that has plagued us always.

This is literally something a psychopathic person would type out and be proud of enough to hit the "post reply" button and not even consider deleting even after future replies to it explain how psychotic it sounds!

So the state of Bears FA success or failure now hinges on the offer sheet submitted to a RFA that was given the lowest possible restriction allowed?
There success in this free agency is two fold

One get out of as many bad contracts as possible. They did allot so far and have 3 more contracts to dump left which isn’t too bad. They get an A imo

Two protect fields. Don’t have the picks and cap to get enough skill position players it is what it is. The least they could do is fix the oline. Pretty poor attempt so far they get a fat D when it comes to this.

Reality is this team will be gutted trash for 3-4 years thanks to pace ruining the cap situation as bad as he did.

Wait, the Bears have a LT on the current roster?
Teven Jenkins?

All the more reason to sign a proven one in FA. Should have overpaid for Armstead, injuries and all.

I know don't sign anyone big in a rebuild blah blah blah but how can you ever rebuild without a stud LT?

Even if Fields isn't the guy you still need a LT for whoever's plays QB next year etc.

The draft isn't the answer either this year, the Bears have no shot at a stud LT with their picks.

So you're ok with overpaying for a serviceable o-lineman, but not ok with overpaying for a serviceable-or-better receiver?

I'm up-front that I'm cool with doing either, because to me, the most important thing right now for the Bears should be the development of their young quarterback on his rookie contract. And to get some of those guys to come to the Bears is going to take some extra scratch---That's just the reality right now.

I agree that that doesn't mean they should just be dumb and throw good money after bad. They shouldn't just throw crap at the wall---They should take into account an honest assessment of the situation.

As far as interest in the Bears, who knows. Some of that, we'll never know. I'm not one of those people who gets pissed that Particular Player X didn't sign with the Bears.
