If Poles is letting his 2nd year rookie QB have a say in who he's drafting in the 3rd round, which produces day one starters every draft, then Poles has another issue other than having V.Jones as his BPA in round 3.

You have no idea where Poles had Jones ranked compared to other Wrs that were available. And you have no idea what type of offense they are running or what type of weapons they want. Sorry that Poles didn’t pick the guy you wanted.

For me, i absolutely think there's an issue if your first time GM is letting his 2nd year QB help make a 3rd round pick. I'm allowed to have my opinion and i'll stick with it. Yeah i noticed i put rookie in there and do understand he's going into his 2nd season which doesn't change my opinion still.

Poles said he went BPA so i kinda do know where he had Jones ranked (just like you should) compared to other WR's, which would be above them all. If i'm going off of what CCS has been saying about Getsy since we got him then he's running the Shanahan offense (also something you should know) since he's from the Shanahan tree. Per CCS.

It's okay that he didn't pick who i want because V.Jones is now a Chicago Bear so i'm gonna root for him more than any of the players i wanted Poles to draft.

You do understand this is a message board so posting an article in a thread that's about that player is kinda a thing on message boards and i'm pretty sure it doesn't mean this now makes V.Jones my favorite pick as well, but i'll do some investigating on that and get back to you.......just investigated and it definitely doesn't.

The bigger issue is you actually think Poles let Fields help make the decision for a 3rd round pick. Do you honestly think Poles said “Justin, you go ahead and make this pick for me”. Fields and Poles put together a list of players he would want to play with. That’s not helping making a decision. That shows me Poles cares. You opinion doesn’t matter because Fields is not a rookie anymore……

So if you have a good idea that Jones was BPA, then why even bring up that Poles has issues? He got the player he wanted. Sounds like he has a plan and is sticking to it. CCS doesn’t necessarily know what Getsy is going to run either. None of us do until we actually see it. The only thing that has been said is they are going to cater the offense to Fields strengths.

The only other thing I have to say was your original post I commented on was pointless. You did nothing but complain. But then went on to post a McShay article talking about Jones being the Bears best pick. And the made a comment understanding where Poles had Jones ranked.

Again, Fields didn’t help make the 3rd round pick. That’s what scouts are for. If the scouts didn’t like Jones, no way would he have been on the Bears big board. He wasn’t on their radar because of Fields. However, since he was on their radar, Field gave his input (say), after watching tape with Poles. The difference between what you wrote and what I did is pretty simple to understand.

Do you not know what irony means. It is kid of stupid and ironic to post an article that contradicts your claim from 2 posts earlier.

Apparently it is not that weird that Poles had VJJ as BPA per the McShay article you were so kind enough to share. So thanks I guess for doing the work to dispute your own opinion.
