Agree to disagree guys? It's not that hard. You're measuring G.O.A.T. by different standards; mostly being the level of competition, which can't be ignored...yet IS by one poster here ?‍♂️

Cutler for all of his faults was in a repeatedly shitty situation for all the reasons posted. Hard to argue that. Bears brass has sucked for too long. He was metaphorically throwing into the wind and wasn't good enough to ever be successful despite all the pitfalls and lack of resources around him.

Fields was also in a weekly shitty situation last season. Can certainly argue and disagree about how much of last season was specifically on Fields vs. Nagy's well...everything, plus OL & WR talent (Allen Robinson checked out before last season even began). Glad we get to finally see Fields have a shot as the #1. Surrounding talent is still minimal with lots of nobody's, has-beens, and never was guys filling in the holes (ass-tons of dead cap money forces that). I'm sure Cutler can relate to playing with a subpar roster too.

It takes a HoF level QB to succeed in spite of all that, essentially by himself. (GB trolls are used to that for the last several decades, the lucky bastards.). Just because Cutler was NOT at that elite level, doesn't mean he isn't in consideration among the top QBs for an EXTREMELY LOW BAR of GOAT best for this team. He does own several franchise records, but it's still hard to call him or really any Bears QB "great". ?‍♂️

Nice attempt at trolling. Epic fail.

Did Jay win 4 NFL Championships? Did Jay win a NFL MVP award? Is Jay in the NFL Hall Of Fame? Is Jay's jersey retired by the Bears?

GOAT Bears QB Sid Luckman!

Boom!

Jay was also forced to play behind an O-Line that is STILL not fixed, had '#1 WRs' like Hester and Roy Williams and for most of his time, had a coach that couldn't coach offense if he tried.

And he still broke a slew of the records.

Well whats interesting is Josh McCown had the same personnel as was fairly successful.

Your comparing 2011 Bears to 2013 Bears. And when McCown went up against a good defense, he sucked. Rams, Ravens and even the Vikings shut him down.
