A team isn’t going to trade for him unless they already have a highest paid offer on the table ready to be signed. Maybe not a 1st, but should be able to get at least a 2nd.
That was my first thought. I’m not sure he has the leverage he thinks given the Bears aren’t expected to be competitive this year.
