Seems like Maddon just wants to be fired..

Offense just gets them within 3 runs and he puts CJ in there who been crap so far and belongs in Iowa

Because he has so many better options right now. Such a dumb criticism.

Other than taking an online course in Sabermetrics, what was Tommy Hottovy’s experience in being a pitching coach?

Really a shame the pitching is such a mess. This offense is quietly been killing it but it's obviously been overshadowed by the pitching.

How the hell can the cubs fix this bullpen. Because the hitting is there

Morrow should be back soon. He doesn't really "fix" it but allows you to use strop sooner. Mekkes and/or Maples might be worth a shot and sending Edwards down to work through his issues.

Ya, so offense isn't the problem.

Is it crazy to wonder if the issue is something other than the pitchers? I mean even if you were pessimistic coming into the season there's no way you thought they'd be *this* bad and even if you thought some of the guys might, you didn't think they ALL would be this bad. I sorta feel like maybe they need a vet catcher to be a calming force and to call better games.

A vet catcher might make sense. Isn’t Wilson new at catching? Like he wasn’t drafted as a catcher

Yeah, send Edwards and Zagunis down and bring up Mekkes or Maples plus Happ.

Contreras has ole'd two balls in the same spot in back to back nights. He can be quite lazy behind the plate. He still receives terribly. We dont get any borderline calls because of the way he receives the ball.
