3 bean chili way better than meat stew.

Chili does not contain beans, you are eating a bean dish. Don't like beans, love chili.

Do you think beef stew sounds unappetizing? Everyone loves the stuff, but you enjoy your filler. It's like saying you don't want meatballs, just the bread crumbs.

I love beef stew, I just don't call it chili.

Real talk though, I can eat chili with or without beans. Either is good to me.

If you want to eat chili eat chili, if you want to eat beans eat beans, if you want to put beans in your chili, well this is America you are free to ruin your meal.

"Traditional Red Chili is defined by the International Chili Society as any kind of meat or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients, with the exception of BEANS and PASTA which are strictly forbidden."

If you have a problem with what chili actually is, take it up with the ICS or International Chili Society, a very powerful group with more political influence than the NRA. Good luck with that.
Ah, sounds like Texan. And if you know any Texans, you know they think they are the only ones who know anything about anything.
Texans don't get to define chili for the rest of us.

Me too.
Someone mentioned putting it on dogs afterward and wanted no beans. If I ever buy chili just for dogs, I buy with no beans, If I have leftover chili and it has beans, and I want to use it on a dog, the beans don't bother me.
But dogs are best with coney sauce instead of chili anyway IMO. :)

what about cumin? nobody mentioned cumin yet!?

also, what is the ruling on green peppers? Are they acceptable in proper chili?
Mine has a dash of nutmeg. Haven't seen anyone mention that.

1. Who the fuck eats chili without beans? That's not chili.
2. Bacon, especially jalapeno bacon. Best chili ingredient I've ever had.

Me and plenty of other people, and it absolutely is chili. Beans are a filler, meant to stretch the amount. Now go put beans in your spaghetti bolognese, cheapskate.
