you can say its not disrespectful all you want.. But if millions of people found it disrespectful then you are being disrespectful..

Still doesnt change the fact that it was a stupid protest that did absolutely nothing.. How many racist cops got fired because of the protest? oops guess that was a huge fail then..

You miss the point. A protest can be successful if they raise awareness. It did that. The deification of the military, whether they saw active duty or not is a large part of the outrage. The military’s job is to defend people’s right to protest. Period. It wasn’t just about racist cops. It was also a protest to people of color who serve longer sentences than whites. And they are also prosecuted, serve different sentences, that whites committing the same crime. These a are facts you can look up. Google is your friend. Understand the issue before commenting.

For the love of God, it isn’t that complicated!

I didn't say it wasn't disrespectful, I just quoted former Green Beret Nate Boyer, he said it was meant as a show of respect, the opposite of what you claim. If millions of morons think it is disrespectful, I will take the word of a man that served multiple tours for the Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, over a bunch of unhinged Trumpsters.

enough with the BS.. It was a fail of a protest.. If Kap came out and said that he is staging a protest at city hall on tues because officer KKK is a racist and called for fans to join him to pressure them to fire him. No one would be offended by that.. and they would of actually succeeded in pressuring to get officer KKK fired.. Instead kap got himself fired and officer KKK is still being a racist fuck..

Bears are starting so I dont give 2 shits about Kap anymore..

Then watch the game. The NFL settled with Kap for a reason.

I might trade for Nick Mullins and see what happens.

Trubisky's failure to development has put the Bears in a desperate situation of being resource light and needing a QB.

The Bears won't do this, and imo they shouldn't, but the Giants just benched Eli.

Oh my god. If the Bears ever signed Kaepernick that would be the best thing ever. So many dumb old CCS RACISTS would lose their shit.
I thought they should bring in Kapernick over Daniel this spring. He and Mitch are both runners when needed. They play pretty much alike IMO. Much better backup than Daniel and it might lite a fire under Mitch's ass. But he has continually stated he is not interested in a backup job.

Dude has all the talent in the world....if his brain doesnt mature and he continues to take 2 seconds per read..we are fucked
Why do people think Trubisky has immense talent?

He's a nice athlete, but worse than the upper echelon of the NFL in that regard.

He's got a bottom 10 arm among NFL starters.

Seriously.

If people want to believe they should feel disrespected just because Trump tells them too, that's on them. Pretty snowflakey IMO but It's their right to be as mad as they want about someone standing up against inequality and racism if they want to believe it's really about disrespecting the military. Being willfully ignorant and ****ing dumb af is not illegal.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

"In the 49ers' final preseason game, backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to kneel for the national anthem instead of taking a seat on the bench.Turns out it was former Seahawks player and Green Beret Nate Boyer who talked Kap into making the change. Boyer wrote an open letter to Kaepernick earlier this season, and it caused the two to meet up and discuss America and honoring the anthem."

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...in-kaepernick-to-go-from-sitting-to-kneeling/
You know I dont really give a rat's ass about the kneeling and wish we would have signed Kap to be honest. But I keep seeing this statement about how ONE veteran who talked him into taking a knee. Anyone ask the other 18 million how they felt? One veteran does not speak for all. As a vet I respected his right to protest but did not agree with it at the time. Just because Nate Boyer suggested something doesn't really mean shit.

That is all...Carry on

I don't see how the National Anthem is any more for a US soldier than a plumber or teacher.

I think there was a window where you could have signed Kaep and got yourself an average starting caliber QB for cheap. But he's been likely sitting too long for that to still be the case. He's still probably better than Chase Daniel, but there's a long list of QBs who are better than Chase Daniel at this point.

I’m a Trump supporter and a republican and Kaep’s actions were justified. He was not disrespecting the flag or the troops and was bringing attention to an issue that has affected millions of people in America. Demonizing Kaep is a beta move.

I was in the army for 8 years. I don't think it was disrespectful what kaep did. I do think it was stupid, however and was obvious a shit ton of people would get pissed about it. Lot of other different ways he could have went about it imo.

Having said that, most of my peers I know in the the military thought it was disrespectful.

Imagine that. Even soldiers have different opinions.

I've become more woke (lol what a chit term) over the course of the last half year or so but I was never a Trump supporter. When he was first elected I was cautiously optimistic at best, I was 17 then.

You are completely missing the point. The idea of taking a knee was brought to Kaep as a sign of respect to the military and the flag, he thought he was being respectful, Trump told some morons the opposite, and of course the dim wits believed him, because he never lies.

IDGAF what idiots think. Like HHM said.
