Paxson talks about accountability but accepts none for himself. My gawd. You are down 3 with 4 seconds left and you go for a 2 point lay up. Brilliant....and it starts at the top. Thad is the best player at controlling pace on this team. Think about that for a second. That is true, but they go out and zeller gets a two step dunk from the free throw line.
Zach Lavine is just not a smart player. The last possession he needed to drive and kick for a three pointer for the tie, not take the 2 with 4 seconds left. I highly doubt anyone would have knocked down the shot, but they needed a three pointer.
I really dont know what MJ promises his teams for beating the bulls, but I do believe they always have more incentive against Chicago. I dont know if its bonus money, strip club, escorts, but something constantly lights a fire under that team against Chicago.

Yeah...which did help us learn one thing last night. I have often wondered what it would take to get Lavine to use his length to defend a perimeter shooter with ernest, and the answer it turns out, is nothing, nothing in blue hell or red hell or even hell on earth actually lighting the floor he stands upon on fucking fire could motivate Lavine to consider defending a perimeter jump shot.

It's only the first game so I don't think it's a big deal. Shit happens. Every team loses games they shouldn't. Despite the Hornets hitting that many 3s and all the other shit that happened, if Zach makes one of the few layups he usually makes or Lauri hit one of his open 3s he usually hits, they win. They do need to work on rotations/switches.
Lauri flat out dominated. He got the ball down low and did whatever he wanted. They had no answer for him. If he can maintain that level of aggression and stay healthy, this guy could eventually be a top 10 player in the league.
