As much as you have been nothing but a constant jerklord to me over the years on CCS, I agree with you on this and "liked" your post.

Thanks.
I liked you back. Maybe this is a new beginning. Or not. But really I don't remember us having any scuffs before the last few weeks.

Dallas and KC in Chi in December...
And At GB and Minn...

Yeah, those are winnable games... if the OL shows up.

  1. Oklahoma Sooners
If Bears win on Thursday and the Vikings lose on Sunday, then it gets very interesting as the Bears would control their path to the playoffs (as long as the Rams lose a couple, which is likely). Crazy.

No way in hell unfortunately. I think 3/4 could be plausible (very doubtful, but at least possible) but how are we going to out duel KC?

We all thought the same thing last year against the Rams and their high powered offense. Any given Sunday.

I'm waiting for the Bears to actually win Thursday before I seriously entertain playoff thoughts. After wins against the Giants and 2 against the Lions, I'm just not there. Not yet. In my mind, the playoff chances were over when they lost 4 straight, including a Raiders game they had to try to lose, and the Chargers game they should've won by double-digits.

Butttt, ignoring everything I said above in the interest of shits and giggles, if the Bears find a way to win Thursday evening (and that's a big IF), I actually see a reasonable road to the playoffs. Knowing the Bears would own a tiebreak against the Vikings with a Week 17 win, if the Bears win Thursday night, they'd essentially be a half game behind Minnesota with 3 Vikings games left before Week 17.

No one would say it's unreasonable for a team a half game out with a few games left to believe they've got a reasonable shot to make it.

That said, win Thursday night before I start seriously considering that a possibility.

The playoff run starts and ends with Dallas...Dak and Zeek are going to tear us a new one.
Youre overrating the Cowboys just like the media. They are 6-6 with bad coaching just like the Bears. They are also in the worst division in football.

Not saying the Bears are a shoe in to win but the Cowboys are not that great.

The Cowboys are very talented and they just have to get on track, that will happen tomorrow night against the Bears....unfortunately.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing. Gun to my head, I think the Cowboys win Thursday.

But the Cowboys are a lot like the Bears---They seem to always find a way to lose games they should win (Jets, lol), and their coaching doesn't help. With Jerry Jones seemingly saying openly he's going to fire Jason Garrett, that looks like a team in freefall mode.
