Will we lose some of our D-Line depth pieces?

I expect they will 2nd round tender RRH and maybe do a short extension.

Williams I think walks for more money.

And the crumbling of the defense begins as the Bears wait around for Mitch to perform at a mere average level...

...I'd like to add that Pace's trading of picks is starting to be felt. I remember this catching up to us when we traded all those picks to Denver for Cutler. The defense got older and we couldn't replace them fast enough.

Well we'll be back to normal with picks after this draft.

The only one they will probably lose is Nick Williams, and he was an afterthought before 2019.

Bears probably lose Nick Williams, which is a shame because RRH and Nichols didn’t really perform up to expectations with greater play time from Hicks going down. People focus on Floyd having a subpar pass rush this season (and he did), but everyone seems to forget that in the 3-4 or 3-3 Nickel the Bears run the LDE has 1 gap responsibility and is relied on to provide pressure when Floyd (often) drops into coverage. The Bears got very little production from the “talented depth” there in 2019, outside of the previously “nobody” Williams. Nichols at least has an injury excuse, but 0 sacks in 13 games is straight up bad. Abdullah fucking Anderson had a sack playing mostly back up NT ffs. RRH had every opportunity to have a 5+ sack season and garauntee a starting spot/contract somewhere in 2020 and just didn’t show up. Hopefully Nichols has a rebound year next season.

Nick William's is as good as gone. Biggs has all but confirmed this.

3200 yards, 24 TDs, 12 Ints. Gardner Minshew (6th rounder btw) did the same thing with 6 less INTs as a rookie with a terrible team. Mitch was carried by the defense in 2018, tons of turnovers and short field positions.
Rec Grossman had 3200 yards and 23 tds in 06 in a time where it was much harder to score and is known as one of the worst QBs to play in a super bowl in NFL history.

Blake Bortles in 2015 had 4400 yards 35 tds and 18 picks with A rob. Let's not use 24 tds and 12 ints as some sort of feat in 2018.

Lol. Mitch needs to go but bullshit like this is funny. Bortles scored the majority of his TD's and yards while down 3+scores. Quit fucking reading box scores and do some real fucking research.

Lol. Minshew was good at putting up stats in garbage time. Nothing to see here of any importance

Oh right. Mitch probably never benefited from garbage time in 2018 either
