Not a bad start at all.

Nifty way to end the period. Kane recognizing where to pass and getting the puck on net...not a bad idea tonight the way the puck's bouncing and skittering away and negating potential opportunities.

A few bad bounces resulting in TO's (Dube fanned on the best chance) but Calgary's shooting themselves in the foot by not shooting after gaining the zone on the rush. Do keep doing that, Flames. Good sticks in lanes by Chicago so far.

Hawks came out prepared, didn't they?

Color me not surprised, what IS IT about Period 2 that turns Chicago so infernally discombobulated?

Well. Figured that one-goal lead wouldn’t last.

Penalty killed. Would love a goal here before the end of the period, please.

Two turnovers. Two Calgary goals.

So much for the PK momentum. Hawks making Talbot look Dryden-like. A nice deflection could turn things around ?

Hoping Strome isn’t hurt as bad as that looked; twisted his lower leg before going shoulder-first into the boards. Leg injuries are never good.

Kubalik is a nice player. Get Kurashev up here.

Some of these young guys can't play well though. Sikura would take a full season to get to 3 goals for christ sake. Nylander is a year or two away. Dach is a year or two away. Smith is a more useless AA.

The defense found a way to get better minus DeHaan and Seabs. Less odd man rushes against anyway. Somebody is staying home and they reigned Boqvist in.

Should have traded Gus and kept Holms before the season even started.

Walks kill you in tight baseball games. Turnovers do so in hockey ones.

Six shots for Chicago in the 3rd. Calgary was all over the Hawks the first two Periods but not quite as much in the last; Chicago passed themselves to death and when they created or had opportunities: wide left and right.

For the last time: 19-19-6 is 19-25...that is NOT a .500 record and they need to quit talking about it as if it were.

Just not a good night for the offense; too many sticks had the flu or something. But exercise is good for aiding recovery; SHOOT for Pete’s sake. Opponents have all year long.

Disappointing game. Crow played well enough to get you the win. Those 2 turnovers killed them.

well...kick Nashville while they are down and we can call it a wash. The offense got robbed a few times too, and even that Kubalik shot with just a couple minutes left was actually so so so close. Kane had a couple looks, Boqvist should shoot more...not sure who on defense has more dangerous ideas or such a versatile arsenal. He can blast it, flip it, shuttle it, saucer, or pull it back and skate it in. Gus can only blast it or shuttle it to Kane. Keith hasn't cleared a shin in 4 years but remains on PP despite need for rest.

One day can we look back and wonder under what justification a human being would stick with JC over Leavolette, even a human as full of themself as SB.
