I think @Rabbit might be on to something though maybe this season compares better to 2014.

Week 1: Lose a gutless game at home in which the Bears were favored because their QB played like CHIT.

Week 2: Somehow luck into a win on the road that they had no business getting

Week 3: MNF game on the road against a bad team that they’ll win by default

Week 4: home game against a superior NFC team (possible blowout like in 2014?)

Weeks 5-17: ????????????

Black Monday: Pace and Nagy fired.

Few weeks later: Hire an outdated but still respected coach (Marvin Lewis maybe?) to “stabilize” the franchise ala Fox and the process starts over again.

Could see it all happening tbh.
I could see how you and Rabbit would think alike...

Just like I said after the Packer loss, there aren’t 7 losses on this schedule. Go ahead, bookmark this post and necro it in 4 months. This team overall is still very good, even if they don’t repeat 12-4.

Well, the bears would have probably started off 6-0 before the wheels fell off. That would be fun.

@Green Bay
@Detroit
New Orleans
Chargers
@Rams
Chiefs
Cowboys
@Eagles

That’s 10 that they very easily could lose and they could lose even more than that. Stop being a meatball.

Good to know. I'll go back in time to 2006 and tell my younger self that. Will save myself from hoping for any type of winning that year.

Yeah ...the only b2b winning seasons in the last 30 years. Fucking amazing.

You literally said:

dont expect b2b winning seasons out of CHI :(

I corrected you. What you mean to say is: "oops my bad. Forgot about that one".

I did not say nor even imply that it's acceptable that I remembered the exception. But it does directly contradict your doomsaying and yeah, 05 - 06 was pretty fucking amazing. Wish we would have won at the end, but I still enjoyed it.

PS - 94 and 95 say hi as well. 94 was when we shocked the Vikings in the playoffs but 95 was more fun with Kramer while we missed the playoffs still went 9 - 7

After an unexpected playoff appearance in 2018, Nagy and company will take a step back in 2019.

Just like the 2002 Bears, they could easily end up 4-12 after surprising with a playoff appearance a year prior. The Bears really only have 3 winnable games the remainder of the year, right?

Giants - Rookie QB
Redskins
Saints - Brees Hurt

This team is far and away more talented than that team, which also suffered a ridiculous amount of injuries.

This offense is about as predictable as Dick jauron and schoop yes. Didn’t we have another number 10 who could run and was inaccurate?

Not that year.

They aren’t going to lose 7 of those. Bookmark this and bring it up in 4 months. Not being a meatball. You’ll see.

It looks like it’s coming to fruition. 0-3 since Week 5.

I remember being 2-0 with a 20-0 lead over NO and thinking we were something special as a young fan.
