It wont matter, because you still have teams that are stockpiled and ha e enough flexibility to stay ahead of the curve. Unless a team like Utah or Milwaukee strikes gold again, most teams are just playing for the participation trophy.

I'm fine as long as there are a few teams that have a good chance of winning it all. I'm an NBA fan along with being a Bulls fan. I know the Bulls won't win it all, so I want to see some real competition across the rest of the league. I guess I'm a fan of parity.

The NBA is in an awful state where most of the talent ends up congregated on like 2 rosters and everyone else is left high and dry with no chance of really competing. Not that I'm expecting it to be like the NFL where the parity is strong, but we're very much on the other extreme right now.

Not sure what the fix is...but there's probably a lot of incompetent GMs out there.

The only fix to the problem would be to have a hard cap.

Soft cap isn't working because some owners just have more money than others and they don't car about paying luxury tax, whereas small market owners will never dig that deep into their pockets. They just draft great players and get them ready for the Lakers, Celtics, Warriors, etc.

I feel like a run towards the 8th seed is best case scenario. Boston, Philly, Toronto, Milwaukee, and Indiana are locks, to me. Washington, Miami, Charlotte, Detroit, and Cleveland figure to be much more equipped to battle for the last 3 spots. I have the Bulls in the same boat as the Knicks -- interesting talent to keep me going, but not enough defense and injury question keep them out.

I feel like that is worst-case scenario......get swept in the playoffs and screw up draft position. Either compete or suck, the in-between is what stagnates a franchise.

Because we have a certain GM that doesn't like admitting he was bamboozled in a trade.
