If they can make it work, he’s a huge upgrade over Prince. He is so damn sticky and competitive every snap. He’s always around the ball when it comes his way. He does not give up easy completions.

Why is he getting cut? Salary cap issues, injuries or play?

I think we're looking for at most a cheaper stopgap at #2 CB. So a no from me...

I don’t think he’s an option. Still will require a big salary and eat up most of the savings from cutting Prince. (Assuming they do cut him)

I think they are going to go cheap at #2 CB and move the money to offense.

Bouye is still going to get real money, probably equal to what Prince is making.

As others have said, his price will probably be too high.

Just depends on his market. If he wants one last big payday, he might have to take a one year prove it deal like HHCD did. If they do get him, CB might not be targeted at all in April draft.

We're a great destination for a DB that wants 1 yr prove it contract because offers aren't where he wants them.

His passer rating against was 103.8 although it was 79 last year. So it is a question of cost and what version of Bouye we get.

Personally think we need to focus on building OL so not willing to spend a ton of money on a CB2.

We gotta focus on the offense this off season. AJ would be nice to have but the money needs to be spent on the other side of the ball.

I like that he's already used to playing on the right side of the defense cause Fuller isn't coming off of the right side but i think Bouye was/is due like almost $12 mil next year so we can't afford to pay anyone close to that. We can't even keep Prince at $9 mil really, i mean i guess we can but don't think i've seen many, if any, on here saying we should keep Prince because of that price tag. Plus we just signed the Roberson kid and have Toliver. Would rather have Bouye over any of them but don't think we can afford him.

If we're lucky Trubisky will be as good as he was in 2018 and that's being lucky and if that's the Trubisky we have then we're definitely gonna still need a dominant defense if we wanna make a playoff run, so while i get that the offense is gonna need a lot of the offseason focus in free agency and the draft, the defense still needs a lot of attention as well. We need SS, Edge Rusher, a starting ILB and a backup ILB, most likely a CB2 to take Prince's spot and we could lose at least one of N.Williams, RRH and a couple of the other backup DL. We can't just fill those positions with young kids especially edge rusher which i'm hoping we cut Floyd and replace him with one of the other legit targets in free agency.

Both supposedly. (Cap and play)Jags are OVER the cap at the moment and his play has supposedly dropped off a bit.
Thanks, I really forgot about him. Nobody pays any attention to the Jags lol

It's what happens when you draft a shitty QB and then follow it up by overpaying for another shitty QB.

So pretty much what’s going to happen to us lol

The former is correct, remains to be seen if the latter happens. Unless, in an unlikely scenario, Trubisky plays better than 2018.

If we don't sign him it is Trubisky's fault. There....now this thread is about him too:smug::smug:
