Listening to ESPN 1000 and they were talking about if the cubs don’t win the World Series they will not resign him? Would they really do this and what would keep the White Sox from replacing Renteria....again?

If the Cubs miss the playoffs altogether (think only a 1 game cushion to 2nd wild card) I think there is no doubt he's gone.

Probably also gone if only a wild card appearance/loss

I mean the Cubs look horrendous right now. This is the 2nd season in a row where this team is looking like crap down the home stretch.

People are getting sick of this shit!

Maddon shouldn't even be managing tonight..WS or Not, he needs to be relieved of duties and give the team to Loretta for the remainder of the year. He has failed miserably this year and last and before we say "but the bullpen, but our leadoff hitter" Maddon cost us the game last night moving Bote to 3rd (KB makes that play) Maddon cost us the night before with his horrible pitching management. His in game decisions and his inability to "motivate" the players is what is costing him his job.

Renteria is safe. Reinsdorf won’t pay for Maddon.

Are we in the home stretch?

Is it September? Seems it snuck up on me.

I feel better with Sept incoming. They need more depth and less roster movement.

Pretty much unrelated.
I think it would be a great idea for the Sox to sign Maddon......he may be able to get the Sox over the hump....

He wouldn't go there. I would think that his hit list would be pit to be closer to home. Miami and his other home. Mets because he loves their rotation. And Angles due to him starting there.

Sox I really don't see it at all
