He went 1-1 last year as a back up in the regular season. That's the best you can hope for in a back up. A guy who is just good enough to help you scrape together a few wins while your starter heals.
You're also watching him in a completely meaningless game. I'm not a huge fan of Daniel, but I also realize that it could be a lot worse.

It's just such a stupid comment 'Bears have a backup QB problem'. Who the fuck cares? If Trubisky goes down, this team is going nowhere anyways. Sure, the D could fight and claw and maybe win a few games, but no matter who the back up is, the season would likely be over.
The only exception to this would be if Pace invested in a QB in the draft that had been developing behind Trubisky for a few years...but that's not the case.

I'd settle for the possibility of a complete pass. The Eagles have a Superbowl victory because they had Nick Foles, not Chase fucking Daniel. The Rams signed Blake Bortles who has thrown more than 20 TD's three seasons because they know they're close. When you're knocking on the door for a deep playoff run you cannot risk the possibility of Chase Daniel season
