I've never been much of a gambler, but I'm curious about the basics.

What sites are the best/safest?

What are you looking for in a bet?

Do you favor long odds where Vegas is holding against the money, contrarian style or taking the easy money bets and trying to avoid outliers.

What's your favorite sport to bet, and what's your favorite bets within that sport?

I have used Bovada for 5 plus years. Never has issues with payouts. Deposit can be tricky cause they push you to bitcoin. I read the owner has major stock or something.

I bet all major sports and the Big 3. lol My best sport is baseball. I would say Tennis is my worst, but Im not bad at it. The women cant hold their serve for shit! I really like to multi sport parlay. I have hit some really chunky parlays in my life that way.

I will usually take shots of all the teams in a parlay. I have lock picks then I will hedge my bets on toss up games to me.

Just wait till it's legal. But I use Bovada honestly. havent had a problem.

I love betting football. NFL and College. Got into betting college basketball too.

It's legal here. One casino has a being kiosk, but not a proper sports book. Another casino is supposedly opening one soon, hopefully a proper spot. Would love to do some Sundays over there.

Call me old school, but I still use a local bookie. He recently set up a website to place the bets, though.

I used to bet football, basketball, and baseball. Had the most success in baseball, but now I just bet NFL because I don't have time to keep up with the other sports. NFL is perfect because it's only once a week, so don't have to dedicate nearly as much time to gambling.

As far as type of bets, I usually just bet straight bets (i.e., no parlays unless I really like some teams). But I usually do one teaser a week, I feel like those are easy.

As far as what I look for in a bet, I guess I like the games where I feel I'm getting value in the point spread. I come up with my own point spread, and if there's a significant difference with the actual line, I'll bet it. I also like certain situations, like betting against dome teams that play on the road, warm weather teams traveling to cold weather (e.g., Rams at Chicago last year. Everyone here seemed to like the Rams in that game, but I thought the Bears were the easy play... and the Bears were actually getting points in that one). Another bet that I take blindly are all inter-division home underdogs.
