Astros are just going to always have that "cheater" label is all.

Like Buster Olney had a baseball column the other day ranking top 2nd baseman in MLB and had Jose Altuve #2. Let's just say social media exploded, lol.

Then you have guys like CC Sabathia coming out...

New York went 0-4 at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros were found to have used a monitor displaying the center-field camera feed throughout the 2017 season.

CC Sabathia, the longtime Yankees pitcher who started Game 7 of that series, isn't taking what the Astros did lightly.

"It's weird, like it changes all the time," Sabathia said during an appearance on Showtime's "Inside the NFL" on Tuesday night. "When I first heard it, I was upset, and then as investigations went on ... I was like, well, we can't go back and play the games. ... But as more information started to come out, I'm like, we played a seven-game series in 2017, ALCS, and we lost really on kind of like one pitch.

"As everything's been coming out and the more facts that we get, it's getting frustrating, man, to sit here and know that late in my career I could've had a title, maybe '17 or maybe '18. But we got cheated out of a team kind of doing something that's not within the rules of the game."

Hmm...the League office asked *all* teams to withhold any comments about this situation. How far is that supposed to go? Just team officials, or players as well? And was Sabathia officially hired as an assistant at the time of the interview?

I get that a lot of players, pitchers in particular, are angry at all of this, but I'd interpret that gag rule to include players. And while, yes, Darvish posted a response, it was more of a "Hey, go ahead, call me garbage now LA, go ahead" and not a whining "Hey, give me my wins back, they cheated" kind of remark. Which is what I imagine the League office is trying to avoid.

CC is retired, what MLB gonna do suspend him? On the flip side ex Astro manager Phil Garner called Mike Fiers (the guy who started it all) a "Rat" on a radio show.

See nothing wrong with the Astros getting shamed. It must continue

The investigation of the Astros is complete. I don't get why they must complete the investigation of the Red Sox to impose penalties for Cora's involvement in the Astros cheating.
cora is gonna get the death penalty with pete rose

Social media pressure is strong. Beltran would have fielded endless questions all throughout the season. He did the right thing

Altuve looks straight up terrified that they're going to rip his jersey off.

Not exactly the typical reaction you'd expect after just hitting an ALCS-winning HR.

You really have to respect how Yu Darvish has handled himself the past few years after what the Astros did to him. Every asshole, every JimJohnson in the world branded him "mentally weak" and a "choker." And he took it all, never excused what happened, even though he had to have known.

He also gave a great interview here on the street days after the game 7 loss. Didn't runaway or was an asshole, was real patient and answered the questions asked. You can tell he's an all around good guy.

Yu had the dominant pitching numbers to win 15+ games last year (and possibly comeback player of the year) but got no run support, lol

Forgot Beltran was hired as a hitting specialist with the NYY last season. Wonder if it trickles to them.

I've been hearing several more successful teams are implicated in this as well. Any word if the Cubs are too?

With it seeming to have started in 2017, I would hope not as the Cubs were having success from 2015 on. But it does make you wonder about if players or staff members from Houston after the 2017 season moved to other places and you had a dramatic increase in hitters efficiency at home.
