I don't know if I stated this on this site or another but Rizzo in the ninth is the perfect example of what I have been saying. He guesses at way to many pitches. He was 2-0 and Papelbon bounced the ball and Rizzo swung. He was sitting on fastball and was swinging no matter what. The strikeout came when Rizzo was guessing inside and Paps threw a fastball on the outside corner. He froze because he was guessing. He has to stop guessing so much. There are many at bats I see him do this and if he doesn't stop he will never become the hitter he could be.

Seems like a nasty injury for Navarro. Hope it isn't as bad as it looks. Played the game hard and got injured from it.

Well, so Dejesus has a horrendous at bat against a guy who couldn't throw a strike. Ransom gets picked off at first by the catcher when he is the trail base runner. I swear the Cubs try to lose these games.

How was he not pinch hit for with Rizzo sitting on the bench? Murphy saves the Cubs because that was a pathetic ninth when the guy couldn't throw a strike.

I don't know about too much progress so much when you factor in Rizzo joining the team late replacing LaHair last year, and the Cubs having Chris Volstad as a starter who didn't notch a win until August.
Just having Volstad off of the team is going to bring progress. :clap:
