It just tells me that the Cubs need to add talent. With the top teams pushing 100 and the Cubs 86 it is going to take more than luck or momentum. It comes down to adding talent.

15 wins is pretty big. That is 2. 7 WAR players.

Now I believe that they can internally fix some of it. The 7-9 with the lead is far better now than it was.

But they need a legit lead off and they need to upgrade a OF spot. They have not replaced Zobrist to date. And resource was wasted on Descalso. Accually Brach was almost a resource waste also. Mix bag.
