I'm not saying i agree with what's being said in this article, i'm just posting it to get the trolls all riled up so i have something to laugh at.

There is some common sense in it but i don't expect the trolls to be able to figure out which parts those are... :deer:

I think the comparisons to Goff are fair. He isn't Mahomes or Watson, but he was in the same draft class so he will take heat for that.

I've already gone on record and said I think Trubisky will get better than he is and be a long term QB in the league. He still has a ways to go but it is obvious he has gotten better as the year went on.

Yeah i'm not worried about if Trubisky will be better than he was the first half of the year because i think he will as well, but for everyone comparing him to Mahomes and Watson and are gonna keep on waiting for him to become either of them, well they'll be waiting a long time because that's just not what he's gonna be and he's just a different type of QB than either of them. I think he can be a QB that we can win with as long as we keep good talent around him, good play calling and coaching and a good defense to keep us in games. Even with all that we need him to be able to beat the good/great teams and by that i mean A.Rodgers and the Packers. Can he step up in a close game against them in the 4th quarter and take them on a game winning drive is what we need from him, and not take us to be in field goal range but take us into the end zone cause we know he can take us into field goal range on last chance drives but we all know how that goes.

It doesn't work that well if you lay out the plan before hand n00b.

Trubisky is a good young QB still finding himself. He can hang with Watson and Mahomes by this time next year IMO. He is just now getting the experience necessary to be who we drafted him to be.

So essentially Mitch can be a average to good QB aslong has the roster is stocked full of top positional players in the league. That's just great. In that case, the Bears are never going to win shit with Trubisky.

Trubisky wasn't even the best QB in his own conference (ACC) when he got drafted so everything else is null and void. When you build your argument around minimizing comparisons to Mahomes and Watson then you've already lost. I'm convinced that Trubisky fans are becoming a cult more concerned with defending a bum player than want what's best for the team itself..

So much is wrong with this article, the author says that Mitch is young and only 25 as an excuse for him being a bust. Mitch Trubisky has appeared in 39 NFL games and will eclipse 50 games next year if healthy. Let's stop the cudding. How is his youth an excuse? The only semi-excuse I can give him is that he left the NCAA too early but that's HIS FAULT.

Then the author points out the talent that Mahomes had around him, but that's negated by the fact that Trubisky has had a far superior defense to rely on. Mahomes took the Patriots to OT in the AFCCG with no defense whatsoever. You have to ook at the ENTIRE team, not just the receivers.

And why Goff and Trubisky comparisons when both players are holding back their teams? Goff's contract will destroy LA. Why would you want the Bears in that same conversation? On top of that, I'm confused in terms of the Goff and Trubisky comparison given the fact that Mitch at his peak was never as good as Goff in his peak. BOTH QBS are average but Goff when hot is better than Trubisky at his hottest. The ONLY comparison is that both QBs are/were overrated by their management/GMs. Even if you look at last season, his best games were clustered together. Before Week 12 against the Lions this year, Trubisky hadn't passed for 300 yards in a regular season game since WEEK 9 OF 2018 once again against the Lions. Let that marinate, then on top of that BOTH of those games were against Detroit.

Goff has surpassed 300 yards 18 times in his career to Mitch's 7. Where is the comparison?

Another difference is that Goff made it to the SB where he was exposed by the Patriots which tarnished his rep. Mitch Trubisky would have probably got exposed similarly in later playoff rounds had the Bears advanced further enough to a play a coach like Belichick/Sean Payton. Cody Parkey in some way actually shield Trubisky from exposure. This is the same Trubisky who lost 10-3 to the Packers in a regular season game, so what would he have done in the NFCCG or Super Bowl?

This post will not age well if we get crushed by Mahomes. I keep hearing how KC's defense is so weak, so there shouldn't be any reason for Mitch not to lead us to twenty-something points.

Will any of Mitch's supporters make a prediction before the game? Of course not. We need to be able to keep excusing 15 point games.

On the offense? Do the Bears even have one? I mean the best on O is ARob. I suppose an argument can be made that his numbers were neutered by Mitch. But that'd be it. Maybe Miller develops into one someday. The O is filled with average to below average players.

KC has a very good pass defense. Their run defense is where they aren't so hot but our o-line can't open holes anyway.
