My favorite teams
Meh. It’s training camp. Mitch has thrown his fair share of picks in camp too.

Don’t get me wrong I think Jimmy G sucks and is horribly over paid, but having one bad day of TC doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. He's only in his second First Season though while Garroppolo is a veteran QB.
Fun facts but I genuinely don't care about camp picks.I'll just put this here...

#49ers had their last practice of training camp in Santa Clara. Jimmy Garoppolo at one point threw interceptions on five straight attempts. Five straight. In order: Jaquiski Tartt, Tavarius Moore, Richard Sherman, Ahkello Witherspoon, and Moore again.
The people who would bash Garoppolo are probably the same people who would excuse Mitch for throwing a bunch of camp picks.I'll just put this here...

O'l Delilah brought down Samson too. As soon as Jimmy got paid and hooked up with that pornstar.. he shreds his leg and defies logic throwin 5 straight picks.I'll just put this here...

A pretty good comment IMO that's often overrun by typical meatball narrative...

Curious who commented here without listening to the podcast.
Much more covered than just the trade up to get him. That was only one nugget of interesting perspective for a couple mins. I just found that comment from the post worth a share.
Why are people still speculating on this? Peter King was in the 49ers war room. He detailed everything that happened. The 49ers were either drafting Thomas or Reuben Foster at #3, depending on what the Bears did at #2. When Marathe speculated that the Bears were going to draft Trubisky, it was actually before the trade was finalized. When Marathe flat out asked Pace who he was drafting, he (Pace) told them that they would be comfortable with who he was selecting.

But at the same time, if they were so sure that Pace was going to take Mitch, they should also have been aware that their continued trade down aspirations were over. Bears phone was ringing while still at 3. 49ers, crickets. 49ers were not taking Mitch but according to your scenario, were actively trading out of 2. Whether he needed to or not, Pace removed all risk.Yep, and also they had the video pre draft talking about that they wanted to trade down several times and hopefully end up around 16 and pick up as much draft capital as possible. Them grabbing Trubisky at 2 or 3 was never in there game plan
Exactly, Pace had missed out on some other QBs, so he simply removed all possibility of another team trading with the 9ers and taking Trubisky. Even if the 9ers supposedly had no interest, they did have a lot of interest in trading down. But at the same time, if they were so sure that Pace was going to take Mitch, they should also have been aware that their continued trade down aspirations were over. I listened to most of it. The color guy seemed ok. The main guy seemed kinda meatballish.Curious who commented here without listening to the podcast.

Wait, so that’s all true AND Lynch was still surprised they picked Trubisky because they already had Glennon?
What a dumbass.
