So what's the excuse for the other 3 games he played this year.

He's still developing as a QB. Maybe by his 10th year, he'll always throw the ball when he spots a wide open receiver instead of holding on to the ball and getting sacked.

Cant rule it out honestly.
Most of us knew at the very least mitch would be rusty.
People are quicker to defend montgomery than mitch.

He was afraid to throw and afraid to move. Healthy Trubisky can certainly sail balls over heads with the best of them, but the way he was missing passes in this game - and not even able to come close to eluding rushers, which is something he has always done well - was different from how he normally sucks.

I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up going on IR.

Trubisky played that way before the injury!
