Matt Miller basically said that sources have said that Jaylon Smith's knee looks better than expected and that he should be ready for the start of the 2016 season barring any major setbacks.

Even if this is wrong, and he had to miss 2-3 weeks to start the season then I'd be ok with him at 11.

I agree. I think week 8-10 would be fine. Get his feet wet a little bit, experience live action, and then come back full force in 2017. With his running mate, Trevathan.

This is only his agent or his people trying to get him drafted as high as possible.

Being able to play in 2016 is different than being Jaylon Smith in 2016.

This is very true. Even if he's not his Jaylon Smith self in 2016, I still think its well worth it. Add the best players available to your football team. If you have to wait a season, then you wait. Anybody you draft could get injured. There's always a risk. See Kevin White and Donte Fowler.

I would be thrilled to draft him at 11. I doubt he plays in September. The youngerror you are the quicker your body can recover. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL when he was about 26. Jaylon Smith is 20 so he's about 6 years younger. And considering he might be just as gifted as a athlete I could see him being ready by October. And I think by December he could be great again.
