I'm more worried about Bryant. He should be the real MVP of this team and he's not the same player he was for about some time now
Why I'm glad they weren't in a rush to extend him or any of those young core guys yet..
Need to see consistency first

For everyone saying the Cubs should "burn it all down", which assets would you move? It seems to me that almost all the guys who have value are the ones you wouldn't trade. Rizzo and Quintana are really the only guys who are at the "magic spot" in terms of age, production, and affordable contracts that you could get a real return for. You could include Montgomery there but he's not going to fetch much in comparison. Strop could be a deadline move? But that's kind of it.

For me if season a lost cause come June/July, I'd try and move the guys on last year or two of contract and get whatever they can back just to basically open up roster spots to bring up players and let them play and see what you got for next year...

If they can find takers for Heyward and Chatwood even of you gotta eat a good chunk of salary , they have to do it

Ha...
They come back and win this game, never know it could just be that game that got it all going for them this year or it could just be a great come back and they just continue to suck..lol

Edwards gives up a HR while facing 3 hitters. And his ERA goes down. Success!
