Yeah, I'm not expecting sweep this time. We have started to blow some games lately and the starters haven't been as sharp. It seems the last several games, the starters get lit for one big inning and it's over.

Hope I'm wrong and we build another streak. At least KB is back.

Oh, and game 1 doesn't look too promising. I do not have any trust in Yu Garbish yet. Who knows if we ever will... He's shown almost nothing in a Cubs uniform.

Win a ballgame.......TODAY.

Don't worry about tomorrow, Sunday or next week. Don't worry about who is or isn't on the upcoming schedule.

Attend to the task at hand....

I am guessing you missed where Yu Darvish will start tonight.

Hey, he started last time we played them. I'm not really expecting a sweep but STL has been playing really bad of late.

Which we started! Here is hoping this isn't their "get right" series.

I still want to know why Darvish and Contreras are not working together.

Molina retro'd back to May 29 injured list due to that ligament again. So no KB backswing into Molina this weekend for a bench clearing brawl.
They called up a AAA catcher.

Did not seem like Hamels liked throwing to Contrares last game either. If Yu can finally become a cub by dominating the cardinals, Caratini should be fine, otherwise, might be Davis as his personal guy carrying a fourth catcher.

Pretty sure they have not worked any games together this year. I'm not sure if there was going on from last year or they just dislike each other.

I would get a random situation but this one is set.

Even if it was a caddy system to keep guys working together what happens if Contreras injures and Caratini has no working history with the other 4.

That is why I'm not a fan of this situation.

Great start by Yu! Could have kept a little more control, but great stuff. Probably would have went another inning if Almora doesnt hit that triple.

We actually got a good outing from Sir Walks-a-Lot. But his run allowed with zero hits may bite us.

Davis has no business being on a major league roster.

How many times does Schwarber take a called third strike each year?

The bigger question is how many of them are actually strikes......no stats, but my guess would be less than 50%.
