Hey Joe...How about bringing your team to play every day. Getting your ass kicked early every game and then trying to turn it on playing catch-up hero ball is a bad game plan.

This team needs some sort of jolt.

And I don't particularly care what that is.

Some people won't like your post because they believe nothing is Joe's fault. But I do think it is time to start asking tough questions about why this team is so lackadaisical and whom is at fault.

Good. Let's use our bullpen 7 innings before Darvish and Chatwood start a game.

Pirates scored two fucking runs all weekend in Milwaukee, and are clubbing us to death.

This team needs a wake up call.

This team really, really needs the All-Star break bad.

You would have walked him with a man on first?

I mean....we have plenty to be unhappy about, but is not intentionally walking a man into scoring position really one of them?

Uh yes. Or at least pitched around. He served a breaking ball right there and Bell was waiting for it. Did you miss the first AB? Much rather take my chances with the next hitter and 2 guys on.

Joe clearly does not know how to manage a pitching staff (we won that long-ago game 7 despite his total mishandling of the staff), and the front office keeps trotting out forgettable minor league pitchers who are immediately crushed by major league batters. Right now the Cubs are a .500 team destined for nowhere. Lots of raw talent in search of a manager. And some major-league pitchers.

Well, I sincerely hope we aren't down 5-1 and walking men with no base open. Bell or not, in that situation it is really not the right move. Not by a long shot.

I really don't think any intelligent fan is going to assume Alozolay is forgettable simply because he's struggling in his second start.

And apparently someone here needed a new alt to post such a comment.

I seriously believe we have about three people here who post under ten names combined between them.

Believe me, I will absolutely say this team has a malaise about them. But so far this season, our closer has been on the IL all year and three starting pitchers have gone on the IL as well. Our starting SS/2B was out for 40 games (say whatever but that doesn't help). The "raw talent" hasn't been as great as it should be. It is most certainly not all on the manager.

I find it comical people blame joe for a 7-1 deficit.
