At Coors Field? I will take it everytime.
Forced the pen to go three innings and we have already seen they can't do it without surrendering runs. I know Coors is tough and the Rockies are good. But giving up 4 immediately after we get a 4 run lead, and forcing the pen in just is not what we needed.

My bigger issue is that they seem to go out of their way to soften the suck of Yu Darvish.

Baez is clearly not running normally.

Glad he is safe and got the run in. I worry about him seeing how he is running. We don't need him to be Kevin Durant.

Why do I dislike Caratini so much?

Cishek can't get batters out and can't hold runners on.

One out that inning was a bad third strike call. Another was a man at 2nd base.

The stolen base cost a run that gave them a ninth inning lead. A stolen base by Daniel Friggin' Murphy, BTW.

I’m guessing because you haven’t watched him play much

Or because maybe he couldn't throw my grandma out. Every throw to third should be 10 feet towards second and 9 feet off the ground.

I am not one to harp on the umpires but this guy at home plate certainly stunk up the joint tonight. He should donate his gamecheck to charity.

That's the problem with Schwarbs....he's not real bright. Did he really think he was gonna get another FB there?

Aren't we at the point hwere he simply needs to fucking swing with two strikes, as every pitcher in baseball is throwing it done the middle knowing he wont swing?

Granted, that one broke back over the plate, but why in God's name does he never swing with two strikes???????

Tying run on base in Coors. And he goes down looking for the second time tonight.

You should.....the last few years have been the worst I've ever seen in this game. So much talk about electronic strike zone...there would be none of it if these asswipes could do their job properly.

I always wonder if he’s kind of stupid. I like Schwarber, but when he’s hitting we’ll he goes the other way and when he’s slumping he roles over everything. He will roll over outside pitches and slump for like a month. Baez does the same thing when he’s slumping, but he usually adjusts within a couple of days. I’ll never understand what takes some guys so long to make that adjustment

I have said it many times that Schwarber always seems to get a bad pitch called a strike, but that was not the case in the ninth. But the pitches he takes for strike three (with the notable exception earlier in the year) are almost always perfect strikes.

Yu Darvish has eight straight no decisions.

In those starts the Cubs have scored 6, 4, 5, 4, 8, 1, 9, and 5.

And he couldn't get a win.

ONE game with fewer than 4. Five or more five times.

And he can't win.

His nickname has been chosen: Danny Jap-son.

When your offense stakes you to a 4 run lead and then you go out and throw gopher ball after gopher ball the next inning you need to go sit down. Send Darvish to the bullpen and start Chatwood. I have had enough of the Darvish experiment. He sucks.
