Contreras is expected to be out 4 weeks which is great news. His reaction was like he was done for the year.

Also, Morrow told Jesse Rogers that he doesnt want to overly optimistic, but he thinks he will be ready by September.

Zobrist should be talking to the Cubs brass on the next move on his way back to the majors

Chicago sports fans are no strangers to sports figures pushing through sickness to put up masterful performances. And while Yu Darvish’s name will never be spoken in the same breath as Michael Jordan’s, it was revealed after his Sunday start that Darvish was a bit under the weather.

Darvish ill, was gassed according to Maddon after the 5th. He said Chatwood & Schwarber weren’t 100% either...something going around the clubhouse. “Don’t shake their hands right now."

Makes me wonder why Nick the Stick got pulled for the double switch for, umm, Chatwood and Schwarber stayed in the game.

Oh well, The A's did a number on the cardinals over the weekend. I guess we see how tough they really are, of if Lesters Bronchitis is flowing thru the clubhouse.

Side side note, Duane Underwood recalled again, no corresponding move reported yet.

I wonder what was going through Heyward’s mind that he wanted to bunt for a hit instead of hitting a lead off HR.

Rizzo with a steal of second (thanks to a drop), where now a double gets him home. :)

Baez took Ball 4 and doesn't seem happy about it.

CB Bucknor, ladies and gentlemen.

Though I would rather Schwarber not walk for caratini to bat with two outs.

Just another game of a lot of baserunners and shitty situational hitting with RISP. Same old, same old situation

I'm wondering if there is a way to have Castellanos take all the ABs for our team. Not sure how we score if he doesn't.
