Dumb base running, no question. But I need to see that play again, he didn't look like he was dogging it on my first look....I think he's just that slow. My wife called me away and I missed the replay.

Then someone needs to sit him down and show him all the clips from when he is thrown out when he could have stayed put and explain to him that he is not fast. Or even just moderately slow.

I think it's more along the lines of both of them making predetermined swings.....location be damned.

At that time, the all time leader (in leadoff HRs, not back-to-back games) had 28.
There are now 16 players with more.
The current career leader, Rickey Henderson, has 81.
Alfonso Soriano is 2nd all time.

Methinks there have been a LOT of leadoff HRs since that was written.
