Thank you, doctor, for determining he has arch trouble just now (it is a bruise) due to running in the OF a month ago.

Real life man. I am glad I keep giving you material to make yourself useful insulting me.

Some call them shin splints, I can walk fine, used to drag race professionally, a weekend after running down track to back up my driver, my feet went on fire. Guess reading the he got inserts for his shoes just hit home since that is what I needed to do. You only run that far on the bases for doubles or triples and turning the bases changes the pressure from a dead run in a straight line, something you might be surprised to learn is not in the every day life of a catcher.

Keep going though, you are only making yourself look stupid when you want to be smarter than an idiot.

Shin splints are kinda a catch all regarding the lower leg. (Calf etc). Not really related to the foot itself. His is a bruse in the arch area.

1. Sports injury
Your heel pad takes the brunt of the impact when your foot lands after moving forward. That means it’s a prime spot for bruising.

The bruising often results from repetitive, forceful heel strikes. These can occur while playing basketball or volleyball, or running or tackling the long jump in track and field competitions. People who do a lot of marching, such as musicians in a marching band or people in the military, are also at higher risk.

So I'm guessing the repetitive nature make your assumption incorrect. This is most likely due to his routeen

Well. I sure do feel stupid discussing his July foot bruise that is not expected to keep him out long, and questioning whether it was a somehow delayed result of one game in RF in June.

But now that you posted info on a completely different injury, I feel enlightened.

Strop has his hat that way because he tucks his chin into his shoulder. Cap would pop off in his delivery. He has a very closed delivery to the mound.
It seems to me it would not fit correctly. Cubs should order him a hat with the bill offset

What a catch by Almora for the 2nd out and then what a throw by Caratini for the 3rd out.

Seems Darvish is taking the 2nd half opening starter seriously.
