It is fucking comical, yet sad at the same time, how they absolutely believe one of their guys has to be MVP. Last year, they pushed Yadi. Yadi got hurt, and almost as if on cue - and as a spokesman for the team- a local "sportswriter" starts talking Jhonny Peralta as MVP. Dude hit in the 270's and had fewer than 80 RBI, but suddenly he was MVP.

They chanted "MVP! MVP!" at Carpenter on Cinco de Mayo this year. THAT's not embarrassing!

Part of this struggle has to do with some bad luck. Missing homers by 1 foot, hard hit balls right at defenders, etc. Hopefully we can get a few lucky breaks and start crushing the ball again
